"wir haben einen kleinen americana hinter dem bar."

i answered the phone today at work for the first time, and right as i picked it up, pippo (my, what i suppose to be, superior. an older man from italy. completely nuts.) came up and i froze, forgetting all german including the time of day, it came out something like "hallo, gute afternoon, this is die teal sprechen, moment bitte."

i imidiately handed the phone to pippo. he greeted the caller, then they shared a laugh followed by:

"wir haben einen kleinen americana hinter dem bar"


(we have a little americana behind the bar.)

and don't'chu forget it.

i made my first "cocktail" today. a campari soda with lemon.
i giggled.

but holy shit, working not in america is really bizarre. i cant explain it. and since i wasnt properly trained, i just guess at everything. and im always wrong. haha.
